Coronavirus Information

Information regarding your tenancy

We understand that a number of tenants have may concerns regarding their tenancy and the current situation with coronavirus.

Tenants should be continuing to pay their rent and abide by the terms of their tenancy agreement to the best of their ability. The government has a package of financial support available to tenants, and where they can pay the rent as normal, they should do. If you are having problems paying your rent, please contact Sirah, our head of Property Management, and let her know as soon as possible. Sirah’s contact details are:

Telephone: 0161 249 2888

You will be asked fill in a form and attach any supporting evidence you have. This can be a letter from your employer, your most recent payslip and a copy of your employment contract.

Although all rents are payable by tenants and there is no official policy within our contract for early termination, we do sympathise in these exceptional circumstances and do want to support as best we can.

Please remember that we are running a business with staff and overheads to pay, please don’t submit any false information in your form as we will investigate each case thoroughly.

Information regarding maintenance

In order to protect our staff and tenants, Beech Properties are carrying out essential maintenance only. Due to government restrictions, we have a limited number of staff available to carry out maintenance, so please be patient with us during this time.

Please continue to report essential maintenance via FixFlo.

We currently have these measures in place to protect our tenants and staff, including:

  • Reinforcing our cleaning regimes across our buildings
    •    Increasing the frequency of cleaning, particularly of surfaces that are often touched, such as bannisters, door handles and door entry systems.
    •    Staff will take extra precautions when visiting your house for maintenance including washing hands before entry and wearing gloves.

Information regarding keeping yourself and others safe

To protect yourself and others, please continue to follow NHS and government advice.

In order to stop coronavirus spreading, everyone must stay at home. You should only leave the house for 1 of 4 reasons:

  • shopping for necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
  • one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household
  • any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
  • travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home

  • wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • wash your hands as soon as you get back home
  • cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
